In 2020 Bishop David visited the Parish as one of our open-air Carpark services during the restrictions of Covid 19. This turned out to be a ‘god-moment’ in the life of the Parish as it gave him the opportunity to share his vision for Church planting and for reaching into communities where there isn’t a lively witness to Christ.

Dundrum Parish Church had dwindled away to just 4 or 5 worshipping on a Sunday evening and was marked by Bishop David as a Parish with potential to grow. After discussions with the Select Vestry and Bishop David, we decided to get involved in a project to bring life back to Dundrum Parish and committed to 3 years of funding a Parish Worker in Dundrum to the tune of £10000/year. That project of funding began in 2020 and enabled the Bishop to appoint Colin Morris, formerly of Crosslinks, to take on the role of seeking to revitalise this dying Parish.

Three years later and this Church Community is thriving with about 70 attending each Sunday. We continue to support this work in prayer and continue our role in Pastoral support and oversight to Colin as the need arises.

Drop into Dundrum Community Church on a Sunday and see this ministry thriving and growing to the praise and glory of the Lord.
